I made this video for a language acquisition class using audio from the "Words" episode of Radiolab. This concept still blows my mind and I'm happy to share it with those who are unfamiliar with this incredible aspect of language.

The Simple Beauty of Sketchplanations
Sketchplanations is a blog by Jono Hey that explains one thing a day in a small sketch made in a Moleskine Storyboard Notebook. The sketches vary from theories to common sense advice, from motivation to diagrams about sketching itself. The blog is currently on sketch 401 and is adding more each day. I highly recommend subscribing either via the daily email or through RSS as they have become a daily treat.

Good intentions or not. Preparatory or not. Progressive or not.
We, as educators, are always the shapers, molding in our own image and ideals.
Owning up to our intentions will prove to be both honest and productive.
